About Us
CHOPSTICKSTORY is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Korean cultural education and exchange.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop, teach, and share cultural programs that highlight the value of Korean cultural content, including the unique tradition of chopsticks. We engage in various activities, including educational programs, cultural events, and international festivals to promote cultural understanding and harmony across communities both locally and globally.
The Chopstick Story
Inspired by the 2015 festival in Korea that celebrated the common cultural heritage of chopsticks among Korea, China, and Japan, CHOPSTICKSTORY was founded to promote cultural education and exchange. In 2019, we established the cultural organization <젓가락 문담> in Songdo, Korea, and organized various international events. Since 2023, we have expanded our activities to California, where we conduct chopstick cultural education and SF Chuseok Festival.
As a 501(c)3 certified non-profit cultural education organization, CHOPSTICKSTORY collaborates with Korean Center, Inc., Silicon Valley Korean School, San Jose Catholic Korean School, and organizations serving people with disabilities to provide chopstick cultural education and workshops.
Our programs aim to introduce Korean culture to corporations and educational institutions while offering programs that promote multicultural understanding. We believe that by celebrating and sharing Korean culture, particularly the art and tradition of using chopsticks, we can build bridges between diverse cultures and foster a more inclusive and harmonious world.
